Being among the privileged few with a first floor bathroom in (area) is so wonderful, particularly now that we have two children. Not only was the quality of your work terrific but you made the process down right enjoyable. Given that your crew showed up one month after (child) came home from the hospital, that is a high compliment and one that provokes me to write my top ten list for why you would be crazy NOT to hire Dave Dively.
1) You gave us a firm price and when the condition of our house required extra or unanticipated work, you did not ask us for more money.
2) You started our project when you said you would.
3) You ended the project when you said you would.
4) When I came home one day and didn't like where you had built a wall, you moved it the next day without a quibble.
5) Your crew showed up the same time every day, and at no time imitated the efficiency of the DC parking office. They worked hard.
6) We weren't easy customers. We changed our minds about almost everything once and you never threw up your hands and said it couldn't be done. As a result, we absolutely love the changes to our home.
7) Your project manager went the extra mile. When it became clear that the shelving unit I wanted for the mudroom couldn't be constructed from stock pieces from Home Depot, he built me a custom unit that now holds strollers, a vacuum cleaner, our wine collection and more. And he built the unit after-hours, at home, to keep the project on schedule.
8) Your crew cleaned up every night and you kept a constant eye on the state of the work site. With a roving three-year-old, this gave us a lot of peace of mind.
9) Even after we paind you all the money owed under our contract, you continued to fix punch list items as we uncovered them, in our ever anal way.
10) Mothers of infants aren't easy on the eyes in the morning and not once did a member of your crew shrink in horror as I grumbled past to grab my first cup of tea.

Construction on your home can be tough—even for those lucky laid-back types—so it makes a lot of sense to use someone who cares as much about the quality of the experience for the homeowner, as the profit to be made.
